A Strong Start to Archery Elk Season

September is underway and our archery elk hunters have set the tone this season!

We want to congratulate our hunters who have made it happen so far this year. They showed up ready, put in the work, trusted us, and when the moment came, they made great shots and capitalized on their opportunities.

It is one thing to shoot a 3D target in the backyard. It is a completely different beast when a big bull comes running into calls, fired up and looking for cows.

We have already had some great success this season, and we are proud of the hunters who have been part of it. Every bull has its own story, and those are the moments that make September at Broadmouth so exciting.

One of our past hunters, Sean Kasser, shared this after his bow hunt with Broadmouth Canyon Ranch:

“Broadmouth Canyon... what all can be said but wow... from the property, to the food, to the guides.... everything is more than what you could ask for....

Going into a bow hunt late season after the rut is already a daunting task, but knowing this I was put with, in my opinion, one of the top guides they have especially for what we were about to try to do.

From the very start we climbed to 8,000+ feet, and coming from a much lower elevation and not acclimated to it, Bernie understood and kept the pace, this man is a mountain goat by the way, to a speed that was still productive yet would put us in an advantageous position.

All in all, through all the hardships and challenges of the hunt, we succeeded in getting our bull with a bow. Any chance that I have to go back to Broadmouth, I will be on the next flight out for a repeat venture and more stories.”
